The main purpose of the Online VESL (Vocational English as Second Language) program is to offer VESL courses to students via online.

Financial Aid
What is FAFSA?
All students are expected to contribute towards the cost of their college education. How much you and your family will be expected to contribute depends on your financial situation which is what is referred to as your Expected Family Contribution (EFC).
The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is the form used by the U.S. Department of Education (ED) to determine your EFC by conducting a “need analysis” based on financial information, such as income, assets and other household information, which you (and your parents if you are a dependent student) will be asked to provide. The form is submitted to, and processed by, a federal processor contracted by the ED, and the results are electronically sent to the financial aid offices at the schools you listed on your application.
The FAFSA is the application you will use to determine eligibility for federal, state, and college-sponsored financial aid, including grants and educational loans. Completing and submitting the FAFSA is free and easier than ever, and it gives you access to the largest source of financial aid to help pay for year college or vocational school.
Pell
A Federal Pell Grant, unlike a loan, does not have to be repaid. Federal Pell Grants are usually awarded only to undergraduate students who have not earned a bachelor’s or a professional degree. Awards range from $657 to $6,195 per year. The actual amount is determined by the Federal Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and the Federal Pell Grant Schedule. To renew this award each year, you must still demonstrate sufficient need per the FAFSA and maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress.
FSEOG
A Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (FSEOG) is a grant for undergraduate students with exceptional financial need.
AWARD AMOUNT
The annual maximum amount of FSEOG is $4,000 and the minimum is $100 for the first academic year, depending on students’ financial need, when s/he applies, and the availability of funds and policies of the financial aid office at Columbia College. The FSEOG does not need to be repaid.
School Scholarship
Columbia College offers scholarships for school programs.
Students with excellent academic records will be considered for the scholarship.
The Presidential Scholarship is offered to low-income ESL students.

The Federal Student Aid (Title IV) program is available for students who are U.S. citizens or eligible permanent residents and will be working towards a certificate or a diploma in an eligible program. The purpose of the Federal Student Aid is to provide monetar assistance to students who can benefit from our institutional as well as federal financial assistance programs, such as scholarship, Federal Pell Grant, Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (FSEOG), and low-interest (subsidized and unsubsidized) Federal Direct Loan programs on seven associate degrees and five certificate programs. Students must be enrolled at least half-time to be eligible for assistance. Contact the financial aid department for more specific information regarding eligibility.
